Individual retreats

My holiday project "Escape without running away" consists of one or more weeks in Majorca with (intensive) therapy, coaching or yoga instruction, or a combination. These weeks can be scheduled at any time during the year.

An intensive therapy / coaching / yoga retreat can provide a solution when (among other things):

  • you need a change but still have to define it
  • you want to pluck up courage to take a major step
  • you want to come together with your partner to solve a relational problem
  • you want to consider a personal trait which is proving an obstacle
  • you seek support in coping with a loss (after the death of a loved one, redundancy or the end of a relationship)
  • you want to enter a new phase in your life more consciously and energetically
  • you are overburdened or becoming so
  • you are asking yourself whether long term therapy may be necessary. In this case I can help you with an estimate or provisional diagnosis and give you work to do back home.
  • you would like to spend time on personal development

While I was in practice in Amsterdam, I observed that some clients are wary of change, and only come to coaching or therapy after a long period of brooding. Often these are precisely the sort of people who are strong enough to keep going, steering clear of awkward questions or situations. They always manage to cope, but at some cost to themselves. They are seriously tired or feel that something really has to change.

For people in this situation I offer a unique form of assistance combined with literally taking a step back from their situation. I live on the beautiful island of Majorca and can offer you therapy, coaching and / or yoga sessions here with time for sightseeing and relaxation. Usually I plan half-day sessions of therapy, coaching or preparation, leaving the other half of the day free, plus as many extra whole days holiday as the client wishes. Majorca is of course best known for its sunshine holidays, but in fact it has a lot more to offer all year round.
